The Work We Take On
We work on residential garage doors and openers - springs, cables, rollers, tracks, panels, and the openers that drive them. Most of the calls we get come from houses built between 1959 and 2008, with a lot of stock dating to the 1980s and 90s, so a good share of our work is matching parts to hardware that's thirty or forty years old and not always a stock item anymore.

We don't do commercial rolling steel doors or gate systems - if that's what you've got, we'll tell you up front so you're not waiting on a quote we can't act on. For residential torsion and extension spring doors, single or double, wood or steel panel, we can generally give you a solid number once we've seen the door in person or gotten clear photos and measurements.

Our shop is at 525 E Francis Ave, Spokane, WA 99208, on the north side of town, a few miles from most of the neighborhoods we serve. That location is why most of our quote requests come from the closer-in areas - West Central, Audubon-Downriver, Northtown, Hillyard - though we take calls from the outlying towns too.
We'd rather get the details right on the first call than guess and correct later. Winters here get cold enough that a stuck door isn't something to sit on, so if it's an emergency, say so and we'll treat it that way.
Who Does the Work
There's no elaborate story here - a technician comes out, looks at the door, and tells you what's actually wrong and what it costs to fix. We don't pad the visit with an upsell script, and we don't invent problems to justify a bigger job.
Because Spokane's climate band runs cold and severe, we see a fair number of spring failures and opener issues that trace back to temperature swings on hardware that's already decades old given the housing stock here. That context matters when we're diagnosing - a spring that's lasted since the 1980s or 90s has usually earned its retirement, not just had bad luck.
We're straightforward about what we don't know until we're standing in front of the door. If a job turns out to be bigger than the phone call suggested - a bent track hiding a cracked panel, say - we'll tell you before we start, not after.
Plain Answers
A quote is only as accurate as what we know going in. Door width and height, single or double, the number of panels, whether it's insulated, torsion or extension springs, and the age of the opener all change the number. Photos help. A measurement of the spring wire and coil diameter helps more.
What we can't price sight unseen: hidden rot behind trim, a bent track that's masking a cracked panel, wiring that's been rerouted by a previous owner, or an opener that's failing intermittently rather than outright dead. Those need eyes on the door.
As a rough guide, homes across this service area were built mostly from 1959 through 2008, with a lot of that stock from the 1980s and 90s - so a lot of our estimates start with figuring out whether original hardware is even still supported, or whether replacement makes more sense than another repair. We'll always tell you which one we think it is, and why.

Can you quote a price over the phone?
We can give you a range if you can tell us the door size, spring type, and what's wrong. A firm number usually needs a look at the door, since hidden damage or non-standard hardware from older builds can change the job.
What won't you work on?
We don't handle commercial rolling steel doors or gate systems. If your call turns out to be one of those, we'll say so right away instead of scheduling a visit we can't help with.

Housing in this area mostly went up between 1959 and 2008, with a lot from the 1980s and 90s. Older torsion hardware sometimes isn't stocked anymore, which can turn a simple spring swap into a full hardware replacement.
